Note: This article is based solely on what I have done for a reverse diet since my show and what I have found has worked for me based on all of the research I have done. What I have done and plan on doing might not work for you depending on where you started and what your goal is. With any dieting and exercise programs, do your research and find what works best for you based on your goals.
Reverse dieting is exactly what it sounds like it is… Instead of reducing the number of calories consumed each week or day, calories are added back in very slowly. Reverse dieting can be used by anyone, but it is most often used by those of us who have decreased our calorie intake and body fat percentage for a specific event and want to get back to more sustainable calorie levels without gaining back large amounts of body fat.

What a crazy three weeks it’s been! Tomorrow marks three weeks post show, and I have finally found the time to sit down and write this post now that my crazy, busy and stressful junior year has come to a close. Most blatant way I can put my show recap was that it was an experience to say the least. I ended up loosing 10 pounds in 13 weeks and was the smallest and leanest bikini competitor in my height class. I didn’t place as well as I would have liked but can definitely say I learned far more than I ever thought I would from competing and prep. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my close friends and family. Having talked with other competitors, I realized my prep was a breeze and I truly felt like I put the best body and presentation on stage I possibly could have.
